🏨 New Saudi Hotel Rules Will Protect Checked-In Guests

Checking into a hotel in Saudi will soon come with clearer legal protection, but the new rule does not mean unlimited stays.

• ⚖️  From 1 July 2027, accommodation providers will not be allowed to take their own action to force a tourist out after check-in.

• 👮 If a situation legally requires a guest to leave, the hotel must work through the competent authorities and follow the proper legal process.

• 🧾 Guests must still respect checkout times, confirmed booking periods, payment requirements and reservation conditions.

• 🚨 A serious violation: Hotels that break this rule could face penalties based on factors including the facility’s category, size and location.

💡 Summary:

From 1 July 2027, Saudi hotels will not be allowed to independently force checked-in guests out. Any necessary removal must be handled through the proper authorities, while normal checkout times, payments and booking conditions will continue to apply.

🚗 Al Ahsa’s New 1.5KM Tunnel Opened Six Months Early

One of Al Ahsa’s busiest intersections just received a major upgrade, and commuters did not have to wait as long as expected.

• 📍 The tunnel runs beneath the intersection of King Abdullah Road and Riyadh Road, one of Al Ahsa’s busiest areas.

• 🚘 The 1.5km tunnel carries three lanes in each direction, while service roads above manage local traffic.

• ⏰ The project officially opened six months early, bringing relief to drivers sooner than planned.

• 💡 The development includes rainwater drainage networks and 140 lighting poles to improve visibility and safety.

• 🌴 Decorative artwork, locally inspired patterns and around 2,500 trees and shrubs were added across the surrounding area.
