Central banks bought the gold dip. Did you?

From 2002 to 2010, central banks sold a net 134 million ounces of gold. Since then they have bought all of it back, and another 111 million ounces on top.
In the second quarter of 2026, they added 289 tonnes while gold fell 14%. Falling prices used to scare official buyers off. Now they buy the dip.
Our research team's free report, Central Banks Bought the Gold Dip. Did You?, shows who is buying, what they are selling to pay for it, and why the team expects the buying to continue.

🌪️ Dusty days ahead for Riyadh! Saudi Arabia’s National Center for Meteorology (NCM) forecast active winds stirring up dust and sand across parts of the Riyadh region in its Sunday, November 1 weather report, potentially affecting visibility.
☀️ The heat isn’t going anywhere just yet! Despite November officially being here, Riyadh’s temperatures are still hovering around 35°C, so that cozy winter weather hasn’t quite arrived!
🚗 Watch out for reduced visibility! Dusty conditions can make driving more challenging, especially on exposed roads, so motorists are encouraged to stay alert and follow official weather updates.
🌧️ Rain and thunderstorms across the Kingdom! The NCM’s November 2 forecast includes thunderstorms, hail and active winds across parts of Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, Makkah and the Eastern Province.
🌫️ Fog is also making an appearance! Parts of the Eastern Province, Northern Borders and Al-Jouf could experience fog, potentially reducing visibility during travel.
🚨 Weather alerts are being updated! Red and orange alerts were issued on November 1 for severe weather in several regions. By the evening of November 2, the NCM listed no active red alerts, although orange rainfall alerts remained in parts of Makkah and Asir.
💡 Summary:

🤯 Imagine seeing the street on your bedroom ceiling! A Saudi girl has gone viral after sharing a surprising clip showing cars and streets outside her home appearing on her bedroom ceiling, almost like a live projector!
📽️ No projector, no camera, just science! The fascinating effect is known as Camera Obscura, a natural optical phenomenon that can turn an ordinary dark room into a giant projection screen.
☀️ So, how does it actually work? When light from outside enters a dark room through a tiny opening, such as a gap between curtains, it can project an upside-down image of the outside world onto the opposite wall or ceiling!
🚗 And yes, the images actually move! Because the light is coming directly from outside, moving cars and other activity on the street can appear in real time, creating the illusion of a live video playing across the room!
🔬 A discovery with an incredible history! The phenomenon dates back thousands of years, but renowned Muslim scientist Ibn Al-Haytham made major contributions to understanding it through his groundbreaking experiments with light and vision during the 11th century.
📸 The science behind modern cameras! Ibn Al-Haytham’s studies of light helped establish important principles of optics, while the Camera Obscura concept eventually became a foundation for modern photography and camera technology!
💡 Summary:
A Saudi girl’s bedroom has become an unexpected internet sensation after a viral clip showed the streets and moving cars outside appearing directly on her ceiling! But there’s no fancy technology involved! The incredible sight is explained by Camera Obscura, a centuries-old optical phenomenon in which light enters a dark room through a tiny opening, projecting an upside-down, real-time image of the outside world. Even more fascinating, the phenomenon was extensively studied by legendary Muslim scientist Ibn Al-Haytham in the 11th century, helping lay the groundwork for modern optics and photography.

😂 That group chat joke could get expensive! Turning someone’s personal photo into a WhatsApp sticker might seem harmless, but Saudi legal experts are warning that offensive stickers could have serious legal consequences!
📸 Think before using someone’s photo! Creating or circulating stickers featuring people’s faces without their permission can raise privacy concerns, particularly when the images are used to embarrass, ridicule or harm someone.
⚖️ It’s covered under Saudi cybercrime laws! Article 3 of Saudi Arabia’s Anti-Cybercrime Law criminalizes invasions of privacy through the misuse of camera-equipped devices, as well as defamation and harm caused through technology.
💸 Fines could reach SAR 500,000! Offences covered by Article 3 can carry a fine of up to SAR 500,000, imprisonment for up to one year, or both penalties, depending on the circumstances.
📱 Sharing can be just as serious! It’s not only about who creates the sticker! Circulating an offensive image that harms someone’s reputation or privacy could also lead to legal consequences.
🤝 A little consent goes a long way! Before turning your friend’s face into the next group chat sticker, make sure they’re comfortable with it! Not every sticker automatically constitutes a cybercrime, but respecting people’s privacy is always important.
💡 Summary:
That hilarious WhatsApp sticker in your group chat might not be as harmless as you think! Legal experts in Saudi Arabia are reminding social media users that creating or sharing offensive stickers using someone’s personal photos without consent could violate the Kingdom’s Anti-Cybercrime Law. Under Article 3, offences involving privacy violations or defamation can result in fines of up to SAR 500,000, imprisonment for up to one year, or both!
